We are planning a video night and fellowship, showing a sermon video by Dr. Ruckman called “The End of the Rope”. This video will knock your socks off with a study about the beasts of the book Daniel, laying out the prophecies and how close we are to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
When: Sunday Evening February 19
What: Video and fellowship
Bring an appetizer or snack food, drink, or dessert.
Oh, yeah, and you might want to bring an extra pair of socks!
Our door to door visitation season has come to an end, but the work is not ending. We will be purchasing all the materials for next years season, and we will be scheduling packet stuffing events over the winter. But that doesn’t mean we stop getting out the word. Gospel tracts of all sizes, shapes, and colors are available for your personal daily use. Make sure you have a good stock as you go out into the world and encounter those who need the Saviour. Be ready with the words of life.
Well, it is time for us to hit the highways and hedges of Xenia. We will be meeting each Tuesday night at 7:00pm, meeting place to be announced in services. Wear a sturdy pair of walking shoes and a smile on your face as we go door to door with the Gospel of Salvation. Give Pastor Mike a text if you are going to make it out.
The weather has been so nice and it is time for us to get our walking shoes on. We are gearing up for a second circuit thru our town. We’ll be scheduling packet stuffing evenings throughout the season and also doing some street work for First Fridays. Let’s all get involved with giving the Gospel to a world that needs hope.
New study beginning Wednesday evenings. Pastor Thomas will be teaching the series on Rightly Dividing. This series grounds Christians with a clear understanding of the most neglected precept about the Bible, and prevents them from falling into common heresies. Study starts at 7pm.
We are continuing nursing home services as usual. If you haven’t been out to visit our nursing home church you’re missing a real blessing. These folks have been a part of our church for 7 years, and we consider them a part of our family. Come out and give them an encouraging word, sing a song, or pray with them. Many of these folks have no one to visit them and brighten their days.
Service Dates/Times: 6:15pm
We want to wish Pastor a very Happy Birthday today. We are truly blessed to have him shepherd this flock.
Packets are together and we will be meeting Tuesday evenings at 6:45 to get our neighborhood assignments. Our first visitation of the season went very well with four teams canvassing streets on the east side of town. Pray for those who received the packets. Our city really needs the Lord Jesus Christ. Come out next Tuesday and get some exercise while giving the Gospel. We’ll plan another Ladies nite to replenish our packet supply very soon.
FIRST FRIDAY season is upon us. We’ll be setting up a table for June, July, August, and September. Donations for give-aways will be appreciated.
May’s First Friday came upon us so quickly, but we were able to get out and pass out many tracts before the storm hit. We were able to speak to a lot of folks, and many young people accepted the Triumph or Tragedy tract. Pray for those kids.
We’ll be working on our table presentation and getting ready for the next event. Check your schedule and plan on coming out with us. If you can make treats or crafts for give-aways, let us know.
Materials are at the printer’s now. We will be scheduling a work evening to put packets together very soon. Be much in prayer for those receiving the packets. We will be canvassing various areas, and there will be plenty of opportunities to get out and hit the streets with the Gospel. Get out your comfy walking shoes and stretch those hamstrings.
